ERDEM x H&M

What an incredible venue and experience photographing the highly anticipated ERDEM x H&M collection in Los Angeles.

The evening began with celebrity arrivals on the red carpet before I made my way to the photographer risers, where I was fortunate to secure a prime position centered on the runway.

At the time, this was one of my first experiences photographing a runway production of this scale. I had photographed runway shows previously, but ERDEM x H&M was one of the largest fashion productions and brands I had covered up to that point in my career.

I remember looking around the risers and seeing photographers working with flagship Canon 1D X bodies, fully tethered with on-site assistants, while I was shooting with my Canon 5D Mark III. It was a very different environment from much of the event work I had been photographing at the time.

When I reviewed the images the following day, I was extremely pleased with the results. It was an exciting early experience in runway photography and one that led to additional opportunities photographing fashion and live events in Los Angeles and New York.
